OONANI INVESTMENTS (Pty) Ltd is a Commercial Investment Company for the Namibian Traditional Authority Trust (NTAT). NTAT was created in 2018 to represent the interests of 53 recognized Traditional Authority in Namibia. OONANI is 100 % owned by NTAT and it was created as a business arm to invest in sustainable business in order to create sustainable and impactful economic benefits for the communities in the 53 Traditional Authorities.
OONANI is therefore looking for a Chief Executive Officer to manage the Company and grow the company portfolio by investing in reputable ventures.
The successful applicant will report to the Board of Directors and will be stationed in Windhoek, Namibia
Suitably qualified candidates who meet the requirements set out below are invited to apply.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
❖ Review the current strategy or develop a new strategy for approval by the Board.
❖ Ensure the development of the Investment Strategy.
❖ Oversee the management of the Investment portfolios
❖ Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the effective operation of the business.
❖ Oversee the implementation of revenue generating projects in and to the benefit of traditional authorities.
❖ Ensure sound financial management in adherence to the Company’s Act, GAAP & IFRS.
❖ Assures the organization and its mission, projects, programs, products and services are consistently presented In a strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
❖ Master’s Degree in Business Administration/ Commerce/ Marketing/ from a reputable Institution
❖ At least 10 years’ experience in a business environment,
❖ of which 5 years on senior management/executive level, with a focus on new business development and projects
❖ Proven entrepreneurial successes and business acumen
❖ Experience in community development
GENERAL EXPERIENCE
❖ Strong leadership and strategic management skills required to successfully function on executive level.
❖ Able to understand and function competently in complex business and socio-political environments
❖ Well versed in financial management reporting
❖ Able to work with Traditional Leaders and communities
❖ Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
❖ High ethical standards and the ability to deal with highly confidential matters
❖ Namibian citizenship
❖ A valid driver’s licence
WHAT WE OFFER
The Remuneration Package Is negotiable within the remuneration bands for a Tier 1 SOE.
