Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The Namibian College of Open Learning (NAMCOL) is an educational institution established by an Act of Parliament in 1997 to provide learning opportunities for adults and out-of-school youth through distance education.
The Namibian College of Open Learning (NAMCOL) is an equal employer and hereby invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced Namibians for the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Job Purpose
The position provides strategic leadership in executing the mandate as provided for in the Namibian College of Open Learning Act, (Act No 1 of 1997). The CEO is overall responsible for all the activities of NAMCOL, particularly to ensure academic quality and financially sound organization through effective and efficient corporate governance.

Job Requirements: Educational Qualifications and Experience
⦁ Master’s Degree in Education, Business, Commerce, Finance or any equivalent qualification;
⦁ Doctorate Degree in any of the above fields will be an added advantage.
⦁ Ten (10) years of experience at the Senior Executive Management level;
⦁ At least (5) years of experience in Open Distance eLearning (ODeL) in the management of ODeL institutions;
⦁ A code BE Driver’s License valid in Namibia;
⦁ A proven track record of being people-oriented, influential; open-minded, innovative, coupled with the ability to manage performance and monitor the implementation of extensive work programmes;
⦁ Sound working knowledge of applicable legislations and regulations, corporate governance, financial and risk management;
⦁ Demonstrated skills and competencies in strategic thinking, financial planning, stakeholder relations and management, change and diversity management, system thinking, and digital literacy;
⦁ Excellent communication, well-developed interpersonal relations, strong negotiation and entrepreneurial skills;
⦁ Ability to balance competing demands, priorities and deal with ambiguity;
⦁ Excellent work ethic, assertive, results-oriented, organised, and self-driven;
⦁ Proven capacity of resourcefulness, planning, leadership, sound judgement and integrity.
NB: Foreign qualifications must be accredited by the Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA).
