Purpose:
To determine and cause Io be formulated policies to steer the Keetmanshoop Municipality towards its set strategic objectives. To plan, direct and coordinate operational activities toward the achievement of the organisational vision, mission statements, the annual goals and objectives at the highest level of management assisted by the executives and the general staff.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
- Organisational effectiveness i.e strategy and organisational leadership
- Strategic financial and administrative leadership
- Infrastructure and Technical Leadership
- Town Management, by virtue of relationship network, strategic partnership and stakeholder engagement
- Economic Development
- Corporate Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure Legal Compliance
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- B Degree specializing in Economics, Commerce or Business Management. An Honors Degree or MBA will be on added advantage
- Qualification in Management Science and Leadership, Budgeting and Finance and HR
- Proven record of accomplishment in Management and Leadership
- 15 years working experience of which 10 years at strategic level
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- o) Visionary leadership
- Ability to translate strategies info strategic and operational activities
- Excellent Communication skills
- Ability to network at corporate and political level
- o) Sound problem analysis and solving skills
- Strong administrative abilities
- Change Management and Team Building Skills
- Good understanding of the Local Authorities Act and other Local Authority governing instruments
- Good understanding of the Procurement Act
- Knowledge of the Notional Development Plans
