Chief Accountant Grade 6

Prescribed Requirements: An appropriate Diploma on NQF Level 6 majoring in Accounting.

Supplementary Selection Requirements:

A recognized 4 year B-Degree majoring in Accounting;
At least 6 years’ experience in Government Accounting with at least 3 years at supervisory level;
Experience in Ministerial Payroll processing and knowledge of the Integrated Financial Management System (IFMS) payroll module;
Conversant with Tax Reconciliation and computation of the Tax Certificates annually:
Knowledge of the computation of staff allowances and benefits: for example. Leave and Separation Gratuities:
Experience in training users on payroll related matters as per the guidelines set by the Ministry of Finance; Treasury Instructions, State Finance Act, 1991 (Act 31 of 1991);
Computer literacy, data management skills: and
A valid Driver’s license.
