An opportunity exists for interested and qualified candidates to apply for the mentioned position at Namib Mills (Pty) Ltd in NPI Distribution (Okapuka).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Responsible for ensuring that the correct product and quantity is loaded on the correct vehicle.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for the actual loading process
• Collect picking slips and loading instruction from the Dispatch Controller
• Ensure that the product is loaded according to the picking slips
• Ensure that the product is loaded in a secure way without damages
• Ensure that the Driver and truck Assistants are present when the truck is loaded
• Adhere to the dispatch policy
• Ensure that the load is loaded in such a way that the axel load is within the prescribed limits
• Receive out of stock and ensure it is correct
• Attend to safety, neatness and cleanliness of dispatch area
• Carry out any reasonable instructions as required
• Ensure good level of productivity
• Ensure compliance with company standards

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Grade 12 (NQF4) with 5 years’ experience in a Distribution environment
• Experience in the Cold Chain Distribution environment will be an advantage
• Computer literate (proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Proficient in English (written & spoken)
• Namibian Citizen
• Valid Forklift License
