Sakawe Mining Corporation (Pty) Ltd is a Namibian company involved in mining and housing infrastructure development providing equal opportunity and equitable treatment in employment to all people without discrimination. The company is urgently looking for a Chief Executive Officer.

Main Purpose

Without limiting the foregoing, the CEO is responsible for the following:

– Develop and maintain the Corporation’s goal to operate to the highest standards of the industry.

Provide quality leadership to the Corporation’s staff and ensure that the Corporation’s human resources are managed properly.

– Provide support, co-ordination and guidance to various responsible officers and managers of the corporation.

Provide timely strategic, operational and reporting information to the head office and implement its decision

in accordance with good governance, with the Corporation’s policies and procedures, and within budget. – Act as an entrepreneur and innovator within the strategic goals of the corporation.

– Co-ordinate the preparation of an annual business plan or strategic plan.

– Implement workplace policies and procedures that ensure compliance with the provisions of this Manuel by all the Corporation’s officers, directors and employees.

– Provide a culture of high ethics throughout the organization.

• Take primary responsibility for the administration of all of the Corporation’s subareas and administrative practices.

Provide overall leadership to manage the company in the best interest of its shareholders and the company as a whole, including, in conjunction with the board, in establishing the company’s strategic direction, annual business plans and budgets.

Ensure that all senior executives have their responsibilities and authorities clearly established.

Basics in Management and Leadership, Planning, Organizing, Leading, Coordinating activities including performance management.

Requirements

– Relevant Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in managerial roles

Minimum of 2 years in large scale infrastructure construction project

Must have strong leadership skills

Business development background

Proven record in successfully winning new projects and growing capabilities and market presence – Remuneration: Market Related
