Cashier
Purpose of this role: To move goods between the company  and the customer.
Job specifications/responsibilities will include the  following:
• Follow cash up procedure when opening and cashing up till
• Follow float procedure and ensure that you have signed for  it
• Collate the totals of cheques, coupons, RD cheques received during the day and run up the cash register totals in denominations and methods of payment. Send information to till supervisor for cash office.
• Ensure security procedure is followed with regard to bulk banking
• Excellent customers services and after sales services
• Collect and ensure floats are correct
• Prepare till point for operation
• Scan and ring up merchandise
• Ensure correct method of payment / amounts tendered by customers
• Carry out cashing up procedure and reduce shrinkage
• Handle customer queries
• Demonstrate consistent application of internal policies and procedures
• Escalate identified problems to relevant manager
• Report suspicious occurrences or people to management and security personnel
• Adhere to all safety regulations
• Report any unsafe conditions and practices to management immediately
• Ensure that your department and workstation are kept clean and tidy all times

Requirements:
• 1-3 years related experience as cashier
• Minimum Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Excellent customer service
