CASHBOOK CLERK

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years previous experience in a similar position.

• Minimum Standard 10 (Grade 12), with the required experience to fulfil the required accounting functions.

• Cashbook/Banking experience will be an added advantage

Main Requirements:

• Good computer literacy skills

• Highly developed analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills.

• Uncompromising integrity and ability to maintain a high level of compliance and corporate good governance.

• Good knowledge of Accpac.

• Good knowledge of Excel.

• Job accuracy and neatness of great importance.

• Need to be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Must be prepared to work overtime when necessary.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Daily EFT & Cheque payments.

• Process EFT.

• Process cashbook entries into Accpac on a daily basis.

• Bank reconciliation.

• Daily Banking.

• Compile banking summary on a daily basis

• Daily credit card reconciliation.

• Assist with completing of month end.

• Deal with ad hoc functions for the Accounts department as and when required
