Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team to enable FNB Card Issuing and Acquiring solutions for Corporate, Commercial, Business and SME clients. Whilst working closely with Sales Teams and Operational teams.
- The successful applicant will have the following teams reporting to him/her:- The technical development & deployment team of Card Acceptance devices
- A Deployment and maintenance team of Business Credit/Debit and Fleet solutions,
- Maintain and develop the bank’s strategy for Card Issuing and Acquiring solutions and oversee performance within area of responsibility to ensure achievement of targets by the sales teams, this may include the deployment of new devices and systems.
- Identify and address barriers to product adoption and implement corrective actions to improve client uptake
- Manage the support teams, which will include performance moderation, disciplinary action, recognition and retention processes in line with HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, legislative, policy and governance requirements in areas of accountability
- Ensure implementation of relevant policies, governance and practice standards across the business.
- Maintain knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and internal compliance procedures and requirements
- Develops an understanding of risks and risk management approaches Implement and provide input into the development of governance and compliance procedures and processes within area of specialization and identify risks
- Networks and participates in Industry forums and specialist risk forums where required
- Improve business decisions by providing accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data
- Accumulate information to review work progress that provides input to reporting, decision making and the identification of improvement opportunities
- Provide input into the development of the business area tactical strategy in achievement of the overall business strategy
- Develop and implement an area operational plan in achievement of Business objectives Manage team delivery against goals in the area of responsibility Ensure conflict resolution and respond to any complaints or concerns
Requirements
- Relevant Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Information Systems or related discipline
- 7 to 10 years’ experience in Card Issuing and/or Card Acquiring
