CAREER OPPORTUNITY
BUYER II – EXPRESSMARK STAMPRIET & AGRIMARK KEETMANSHOOP
The purpose of the position, to manage a group of products for the Branches and to ensure adequate availability of products through the re-ordering program, daily stock control and overall stock management.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Ordering of stock (on reflection of the re-ordering program) correct quantity, timeously.
Daily stock control to identify stock movement and to reduce possibility of stock loss.
Organize teams for stock count and do stock comparison on system.
Correcting of stock in conjunction with Manager as and when needed.
Manage & Control received stock and handling any stock transfer.
Identify customer preferences and forecast customer trends.
Provide needed information on products, their prices and promotion.
Discover & purchase new products and check the quality and popularity of those already on our shelves.
Provide prices and quotations of products on direct stock orders when needed.
Liaise with other Agrimarks to determine product demands that is on the market.
Administration related to the aforementioned task;
Handling of documents pertaining received stock (delivery notes).
Deviation stock list – give through to Manager or handle it depending on circumstances within Branch.
Handling of claims with the co-operation with administration personnel.
Process invoices when needed.
Correspondence (usually via email) regarding stock problems – either receiving of wrong or faulty stock as well as sending of debit orders.
Filing of all documents and emails for good administrative control.
Control over tidiness of shelfs in the shop and storeroom.
Application of security measures to prevent possibility of property loss.
Ad hoc and various tasks in line with the scope and duties of this position
QUALIFICATIONS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
A valid Grade 12 (23 points) with good grades in English, Mathematics and Accounting is a prerequisite
Preference will be given to candidates who possess over a 2-year tertiary education and/or:
Experience in an agriculture, commerce, wholesale or retail environment
Specific knowledge of farming equipment and agricultural products
Knowledge and understanding of the needs of agricultural producers.
Exposure to – and experience with working on the Agri SMART system
Strong computer literacy and sound communication, numerical and interpersonal skills
Organized, dependable, ethical, and hardworking self – starter.
Strong Problem-Solving abilities and an analytical thinker with a great attention to detail
