Business Support Systems Administrator
Paratus Telecommunications currently has a vacancy
for a Business Support Systems Administrator

The Role and Duties for the position are as follows:

⦁ Adhere to Paratus policies, procedures, and operational practices.
⦁ Support and enhance the overall Revenue Assurance/Billing/BSS/OSS/ Business Intelligence solutions at Paratus.
⦁ Resolve technical issues with little to no escalation.
⦁ Provide guidance to fellow team members on and contribute to managing availability and performance of mission critical services related to business supports systems.
⦁ Contribute to efforts, take part in, and sometimes lead projects for the deployment, maintenance, and support of business-critical support systems.
⦁ Implement processes/procedures in compliance with Standards pertinent to the industry.
⦁ Assisting Management to produce required reports, both periodic and ad-hoc
⦁ Providing technical/operational support for the following BSS domains: Revenue Management, Customer Order & Fulfilment Management, Omni Channel Domain, Data domain, Integration domain as well as the Assurance domain.

The minimum requirements for the position are as follows:

⦁ Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with excellent communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive.
⦁ 5 years of technical experience implementing and supporting Business Support Systems.
⦁ 3 years with SQL database administration, REST/SOAP API integrations, automation, and scripting.
⦁ IT/IS diploma/degree.
⦁ Valid Code B (or higher) driver’s license.
⦁ Own transport.
⦁ Experience working with cross-functional teams, and the ability to collaborate and partner with those teams to overcome challenges.
⦁ Ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new emerging technologies,
methodologies, and solutions.
⦁ Experience in deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting enterprise systems and platforms in the Telecommunications Industry.

Beneficial role attributes:

⦁ 5 years overall technical experience in a telecommunication environment.
⦁ Hands-on Experience in SQL/PL SQL/Unix/Linux/SOAP/REST API.
⦁ Experience with telecommunication-related billing tasks.
⦁ Interest in designing and supporting distributed systems.
