Kalahari Holdings (Pty) Limited
was established in
1989 in terms of the Company Act, 1973 (as amended).
The Company is wholly owned by the SWAPO Party and
is a diverse and dynamic investment holding Company
playing an active role in the development of Namibia.
We seek a dynamic and versatile individual who will
manage the investment of Kalahari Holdings and its
subsidiaries, investment strategy and related policies,
develop investment operational plans to ensure the
investment growth, quality of investments and overall
achievement of the Group’s financial objectives and
performance goals.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: STRATEGIC AND OPERATIONAL PLANNING, ALIGNMENT AND EXECUTION
•Develop and implement the group’s investment
strategy;
•Develop appropriate investment policies, guidelines
and management procedures;
•Develop and implement business operational plans
to ensure investment growth, quality of investments
and overall achievement of the Group’s financial
objectives and performance goals;
•Establish and maintain relationships with investors
and business customers;
•Develop and implement stakeholders’ engagement
and management programmes;
•Conduct market research to inform the business
development and investment attraction strategies;
•Identify and generate relevant new investments and
conduct business investment analysis;
•Effectively identify, monitor and manage strategic
and operational risks of the investments;
•Assist to monitor and control departmental budget
spending and reviewing relevant reports;
•Approve expenditure claims and requests according
to departmental requirements;
•Provide team leadership and manage performance.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
• An Honours Degree in the fields of Business
Management, Economics, Finance or equivalent;
• A minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in
the field of business administration, economics,
finance or related investment management of
which at least three (3) years should have been in
a managerial and /or senior / investment specialist
position;
•Good leadership, communication and interpersonal
skills;
•Relevant experience within the investment industry
will be an added advantage;
•Proven experience in business development and
financial markets knowledge;
•Analytical, critical and conceptual thinking coupled
with excellent negotiation and persuasion skills.
•Extensive business intelligence ability;
• Excellent project management skills;
•Customer service orientation;
• Business and financial acumen.
