Namib Poultry (Pty) Ltd is a fully integrated broiler production operation established in 2012 and situated 30 km north of Windhoek on the Al Highway on the farm Klein Okapuka in Namibia.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OFTHE POSITION
Effectively manage broiler site operations, manage personnel, optimize production processes, and ensure efficient day- to-day operations.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
⦁ General management of broiler production units.
⦁ Plan & implement SOPs & bio-security plan.
⦁ Plan, implement & execute ventilation, lighting & heating of the chicken houses.
⦁ Plan & implement feed programs.
⦁ Plan & execute scheduled & general chicken house & site maintenance.
⦁ Procure feed & farming consumables.
⦁ Compile budget & manage expenses.
⦁ Plan & balance broiler production against breed standards.
⦁ Manage chicken house preparation, cleaning, animal welfare & vaccination.
⦁ Perform general HR functions such as recruitment, appointment, discipline, training & performance management.
⦁ Do stock counts & compile reports.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
⦁ Grade 12 (NQF 4) with the minimum requirements.
⦁ Tertiary qualification in agriculture will be an added advantage.
⦁ Five (5) years of experience in managing broiler farms.
⦁ Five (5) years of experience in environmentally controlled broiler houses and relevant experience within the industry.
⦁ Namibian citizen or eligible for permanent residence or a Work Permit.
⦁ Proficient in English, being bilingual will be advantageous.
⦁ Valid Code B driver’s license with own reliable transport.
⦁ Computer Literate.
⦁ Must be able to work shifts, weekends, overtime, and on public holidays.
