PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Brand Manager serves as the custodian of the brand, responsible for shaping its positioning, consumer experience, and market perception. The role focuses on developing and executing integrated brand strategies that build strong, relevant brands, drive market growth, and contribute to sustainable business performance. By leveraging consumer insights, market research, and industry trends, the Brand Manager ensures that the products remain competitive, relevant, and consistently positioned across all consumer touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic insights to the Marketing Manager to support the development and execution of brand strategies.
- Develop, present, and implement comprehensive brand strategies and brand plans aligned to business objectives.
- Identify, monitor and track brands market share, sales trends, and opportunities while managing risks.
- Develop, produce and implement advertising & promotions material.
- Develop and implement effective media strategies and executions to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Ensure consistent application of brand identity, logos, trademarks, and guidelines across all consumer touchpoints.
- Monitor and ensure all marketing activities are aligned with the overall brand strategy and positioning.
- Conduct bi-annual Usage & Attitude (U&A) research and leverage insights to inform brand strategies.
- Manage packaging development, design process, and on-press approvals with suppliers to ensure brand consistency.
- Plan and execute in-store sampling, promotions, and activations in collaboration with Trade Marketing.
- Manage product development process in collaboration with cross-functional internal and external teams.
- Analyse category performance, competitor activity, and market trends in collaboration with the Market Analyst.
- Develop and manage monthly social media strategies, monitor performance, and provide reporting insights.
- Manage the brands’ PR, CSR and communications strategies with agencies for the respective brands.
- Oversee all brand-related administration, including campaign documentation, reporting, and budget management.
- Develop creative briefs and campaign briefs for execution within approved brand budgets.
- Plan, coordinate, and manage brand events and activations nationally.
- Source and manage procurement of marketing materials required for campaigns, promotions, and events
Requirements
- Diploma and/or Degree in Marketing Management (NQF 5/6) with at least five (5) years relevant working experience.
- OR
- Relevant Qualification with at least five (5) years’ experience in brand execution, promotions and related administration
- Namibian citizen.
- Valid Code B driver’s licence.
- Excellent mastering of the Microsoft suite.
- Able to communicate well in written and spoken English and other Namibian languages.
- Must have excellent relationship management skills
- Must be willing to work overtime/weekends/extensive hours
- Must be willing to travel
- Must be a strong Brand Ambassador
- Highly focussed on delivering quality
