INTERNAL JOB ADVERT:

Reporting to the Boilermaker & Welder Foreman, the incumbent is
responsible for the manufacturing, construction, and installation of new
equipment. Repairing of equipment including welding of materials using
all types of welding methods. This position is based between Otavi &
Tsumeb at Plant Sargberg.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain plant – different methods of welding & cutting
and bending different profiles.
• Construction of new or worn parts.
• Preparation and accomplishment of scheduled and unscheduled
maintenance.
• Ensure that equipment is in good and safe working condition for
operation.
• Ensure that spare parts received adhere to the quality and standards
required and are in working condition.
• Coordinate and test after repairs/maintenance are done.
• Participate in departmental safety talks.
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations of
Ohorongo Cement.

Requirements

• N3 OR Trade Diploma.
• Expertise in different types of steel, welding equipment, and
different welding techniques is a prerequisite i.e. gas welding, TIG,
MIG, etc.
• Manufacturing of different steel sections.
• Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings
• Experience in rigging operations and lifting heavy equipment.
• Ability to work extremely accurately.
• Able and willing to work on heights.
• Must be able to work independently, but also in team situations.
• Honest and trustworthy.
