Key Responsibilities
- Manage departmental targets and profitability.
- Manage all stock functions: control ordering, maintaining stock levels/range, ensure rotation and more
- Manage supplier relationships and enhance price negotiations.
- Ensure regular promotions and availability of stock.
- Ensure consistent quality in freshness and presentation of products.
- Maintain and ensure strict hygiene and housekeeping standards
- Maintain and ensure strict Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures
- Manage staff functions like recruitment, training, shifts and ensuring discipline.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction throughout
- Store opening and closing duties.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (NQF level 4)
- Tertiary qualifications in Retail, alternatively minimum of 4 years experience in Retail Management
- Bakery Background of advantage.
- Experience with SIGMA system of advantage
- Computer literate and experience with POS systems / strong organizational skills required
- Staff management experience and excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines
- Willingness to work additional hours if required
- A positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team
- Driver’s license required.
