Reporting to the Technician: Maintenance, the Assistant Technician’s responsibilities will include but is not limited to the day to day maintenance and upkeep of all equipment at the Milling and Packing to ensure 24/7 operations and to do repairs on equipment when required. To do ad hoc tasks for the Company which falls within the broad spectrum of the position.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible to ensure tools are in good working order.
- Utilize tools in accordance with instructions.
- Receive and action instructions as planned by Technician: Maintenance.
- Perform daily and weekly maintenance checks in accordance with preventative maintenance plan as per Technician: Maintenance instruction.
- Responsible to assist Technician: Maintenance with daily maintenance and breakdowns.
- Provide support to Technician: Maintenance to service pumps, motors, valves and machinery on plant.
- Perform general maintenance activities for all departments.
- Responsible to perform routine maintenance is conducted for the plant (e.g. greasing on gearboxes etc.)
- Execute all other legal and reasonable duties as directed by the employer.
- Maintain housekeeping in the workshop and relevant areas.
- Adherence to Company policies, procedures and practice.
- Adherence to Health and Safety regulations.

- Grade 12.
- Required to work shift as required.
- Required to work outside normal working hours if need be.
