ASSISTANT MANAGER – HPCNA

Minimum requirements:

• A minimum four year bachelor’s degree or equivalent in healthcare field.
• A qualification in administration or management will be an added advantage.
• Computer literacy.
• Proof of up-to-date registration as a healthcare professional.

Required knowledge and skills:

• Understanding of health-related laws.
• Ability to develop and execute standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Working knowledge of Ms Word. Excel. Power Point and Outlook.
• Coordinating, presentation and facilitating abilities.
• Excellent writing, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
• Proven leadership skills.
• Knowledge in drafting agenda and taking of minutes.

Key performance areas

• Assists to prepare annual schedules for Council and Committee meetings.
• Prepare and timeously distribute notices and agendas of Council and Committee meetings.
• Provide administrative support to the Council and its Committees.
• Implement Council decisions and draft feedback to clients.
• Facilitate the inspection of educational institutions and training facilities.
• Facilitated the evaluation of qualifications and curriculums submitted in support of applications for registration.
• Coordinate the pre-registration evaluations and communication of results to applicants.
• Evaluate the applications for registration and provide well informed recommendations on compliance with the prescribed requirements for registration.
• Collect and analyze information to positively influence policy making.
• Provide regular guidance to subordinates and ensure quality control of their performance.
• Assist the Manager in budgeting and prudent execution of the budget.
