Artisan Foreman- Supervisor

POST:                                       1 x Artisan Foreman- Supervisor, Grade C4

Salary Scale:                            NS 138 545 – 144 247 per annum

Transport Allowance:         NS 7 704 per Annum

Housing Allowance:            20% of the Annual Basic Salary

Medical AID:                         85% Council Contribution

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Trade Diploma (Leve13/N3) either Plumbing/ Brick laying & Plastering
• Plus Grade 12, with 20 point in 6 subjects, minimum E symbol in English
• 4 years relevant work experience in technical services
• 2 years supervisory experience
• Code C Driving License
• Be a Namibian Citizen
• Sound Communication and Interpersonal Skills

NB: Candidates with foreign qualifications must attach proof of evaluation of such qualification from Namibia Qualification Authority (NQA)

• Roads and Construction Management
• Sewerage Reticulation Construction Management
• Building Maintenance, management & supervision
• Maintain Rapid Intervention Vehicles & Equipment
• Training and Development
• Emergency response and Preparedness
• Incidents reporting
• Occupational Health & Safety (OHS)
• Supervision and Administration
• 50% office bound; 50 % inspecting, coordination, supervision and management
• Good technical knowledge and understanding of plumbing! Mechanical work, understanding of safety and good housekeeping precautions
• Innovativeness, decisiveness, flexibility, planning, organizing skills and ability to develop and empower others
• Good communications skills, ability to solve complex plumbing! Mechanical related problems, ability to work under pressure, physical ability, ability to work independently, Plumbing/mechanical skills, innovativeness and creativity, computer literacy.
• Sound Knowledge of the Local Authorities Act
