Artisan: Boilermaker [BROILERS / MAINTENANCE]

Namib Poultry (Pty) Ltd is a fully integrated broiler production operation established in 2012 and situated 30 km north of Windhoek on the A1 Highway on the farm Klein Okapuka. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment within the department.

KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Electrical and electronic maintenance of all relevant equipment.

· Fault finding and reparation and reporting of defects.

· Procurement, receipt and organising spare parts procurement and stores.

· Ensure accurate and timeous completion of Job Card.

· Completion of all relevant registers and paperwork.

· Reconcile stock levels by means of regular stock takes.

· Ensure accurate and timeous completion of Timesheet/Clocking.

· Supervise assistant as per company procedure and apply “on the Job Training” for the assistant.

· Adhere to health, safety and bio security policies, procedures, standards and practices.

· Always wear proper and clean PPE as prescribed by the company.

· Report any unsafe acts or health, safety and bio security hazards.

· 24 hour standby. · Timeously attending to call-outs.

· On time reporting/feedback on call-out if any occurred.

· Performing of additional tasks as and when required and performing it to best of ability and according to company standards and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETANCIES

· NTC3 or equivalent qualification OR

· Qualified Boilermaker/Welder

· 3 Years’ trade experience in a related field

· Namibian citizen

· Proficient in English, being bilingual will be highly advantageous

· Be able to do design and layout of pipes

· Be willing to work overtime, public holidays and Sundays as well as at external sites when necessary

· Valid Code BE drivers’ license and own reliable transport
