ART Registered Nurse

Duty station: Ndama Clinic – Rundu, Kavango Region

PrimaryResponsibilities

| • Provide high quality comprehensive management of adults and children

| with HIV

| • Ensure basic nursing care is also provided to HIV positive clients

I • Support integration of TB/HIV and Sexual and Reproductive Health

I activities including family planning. STI treatment, and management of

| non-communicable diseases for patients with HIV.

| • Prescnbe and dispense ARVs and other appropriate medications to

I HIV-infected patients

I • Support the implementation of differentiated care models at the facility

I including multi-month prescribing

I • Collaborate with community partners in establishing patient adherence groups

I • Facilitate outreach HIV-related services as applicable.

• Participate with the clinic to monitor VL testing and management of

‘ patients failing ART

• Provide HIV-related on-srte training as needed

Required Education. Training & Experience:

• Degree in Nursing and current registration as a Registered Nurse with the HPCNA
• At least 3 years of clinical nursing experience including management of patients with HIV on ART
• Previous experience in training nurses in NIMART or other HIV-related training would be a strong advantage
