AISLE CRANE DRIVER – Dundee Precious Metals

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Ensure all Legal, Health, Safety and Environment standards and policies are
adhered to.
• Move ladles to desired area.
• Perform pre-operational checks and inspections.
• Assist in any other operations as required.
• Move heavy objects required by, e.g., maintenance.
• Assist electrician with tasks as required.
• Conduct housekeeping duties.
• Perform ad hoc related duties as assigned by Foreman.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Grade 12 Certificate with 23 points and a D symbol in English.
• 3 years industrial work experience at Peirce Smith (PS) Converters or similar
environment.
• Recognized Overhead Cabin-Controlled Crane (in-house) license (20 tones lifting),
basic know-how of mechanical fault-finding, communication and hand eye
coordination and fast reaction time, fluency in lifting and signaling language.
• 80% pass in the Dover Test.
• Good communication skills.
• Safety awareness.
• Good time keeping and attendance.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
