The Admission Clerk is responsible for coordinating patient admissions and discharges, maintaining accurate patient records and providing professional reception and administrative support to ensure efficient patient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient admissions and discharges, including the verification of patient information, medical aid details and required documentation.
- Provide professional reception, switchboard and customer service support to patients, visitors and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate theatre bookings, patient appointments and related administrative processes to support efficient hospital operations.
- Maintain accurate patient records, correspondence and filing systems in accordance with hospital procedures and confidentiality requirements.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (or equivalent) Certificate and a Computer Literacy Certificate or other relevant administrative qualification.
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in an administrative, receptionist or patient administration role, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Strong communication, customer service and organisational skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, data capturing and record management.
