What are the typical day-to-day responsibilities of this Administrator position?
You will oversee stock control, manage cash reconciliations, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Daily tasks include processing invoices, handling customer complaints, and coordinating between the service station and Wimpy restaurant operations. Reporting to regional management and maintaining accurate records are also core duties.
How does the work culture and employer expectations differ in Namibia's retail and hospitality sector?
Namibian employers value punctuality, respect for hierarchy, and strong interpersonal skills in multicultural workplaces. Expect to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays, as service stations operate continuously. Demonstrating reliability and initiative is crucial for earning trust in this close-knit business environment.
What career progression opportunities exist from this Administrator role in Namibia?
With proven performance, you can advance to Area Manager, Regional Operations Manager, or move into corporate roles at head office. What benefits are typically offered for Administrator positions at service stations in Namibia?
Benefits vary by employer but commonly include annual leave as per Namibian Labour Act, and sometimes medical aid or pension contributions after probation. Larger corporate chains may offer additional perks like staff meals, fuel discounts, or performance bonuses. Always clarify benefits during the interview process as packages differ between independent operators and established brands.
