Introduction
The Namibia Qualifications Authority (NQA) is a State Owned Enterprise established through the Namibia Qualifications Authority Act no. 29 of 1996. The NQA is statutorily mandated to evaluate qualifications and set and administer a National Qualifications Framework (NQF), amongst other objects.
The NQA hereby invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position:
Specification
- To receive accreditation status enquiry and provide career advice to applicants in order to ensure the good standing status of institutions. The role is also responsible for conducting research and compiling reports on the status of the accreditation enquiry forms.
- Receive accreditation status enquiry forms
- Prepare a letter of accreditation request outcome to applicant and submit to NQF Manager for vetting and submission via the process up to the Head of Qualifications sign off stage.
- Compile accreditation status enquiries statistics report quarterly and annually or as required.
- Advise clients on career and study pathways
- Explain the functions of NQA to clients.
- Advice on possible NQF alignment based on research results (e.g. if a Masters Degree only has 120 NQF credits)
- Conduct research on the accreditation status of institutions in the country of origin, programmes, duration and confirm credits and compare to NQF;
- Draft report based on research findings and discuss with NQF Manager;
- Deal with appeals on accreditation status as required and prepare report outcome after the research on appeal is completed.
- Liaise with awarding institutions and Quality Assurance Bodies nationally and internationally.
- Make copies of signed letters for filling to ensure future retrieval thereof if required and send out the letters to clients.
- Deal with incoming calls relating to accreditation status.
- Deal directly with customers either by telephone, emails or face-to-face;
- Build sustainable relations of trust through open and interactive communication with clients;

Requirements
- Diploma in Business Administration
- 3 years’ experience in dealing with clients (Customer relations or Office administration )
- Basic / advance Computer literacy
- Research skills
- Attention to detail
- Accuracy
