JOB PURPOSE:
To assist in ensuring the effective collection of all income and the control thereof in the Revenue Department.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
⦁ Verifies and validates the monthly meter readings:
⦁ Reviews all journals prepared for accuracy, completeness and validity. Submits the checked journal for authorization to the immediate supervisor
⦁ Conduct checks to ensure that timeous action is taken regarding the meter cut list forwarded to the relevant department:
⦁ Ensure that all the accounts are printed timeously:
⦁ Check the monthly error list during the billing process and investigates anomahes/deviations. Initiates corrective action steps required:
⦁ Check the work done by the subordinates for accuracy, completeness and timeously.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
⦁ Grade 12: National Trade Diploma in accounting/Finance or an equivalent qualification on NQF Level 6. plus 3 years’ experience in revenue/debtors of which one year should have been in a supervisory capacity:
⦁ Basic knowledge of debt collection practices (Legal steps):
⦁ Computer Literacy, and practical knowledge of FINSTEL will be an added advantage:
