Accountant – Naras Investment Business Centre -NIBC. Kuiseb Fishing Enterprise (Pty) Ltd invites suitably qualified persons for the accounting position at the NIBC.

• Overseeing clients’ accounts and keeping accounts, books and systems up to date and performing any other duties as may be required
• Responsible for the supervision of accurate and timeous processing of creditors invoices
• management of the company’s creditors and expense payments.

In principle, the accountant is expected to attend to the following:

• Processing of the cashbook and performance of bank reconciliations;
• Processing of debtors and creditors;
• Compilation of monthly/annual standard journals, processing thereof and compilation of final trial balance;
• Compilation of annual audit file and resolution of audit queries raised;
• Assisting NIBC Manager develop processes around risk assessment and monitoring;
• Compilation of cash flow projections (weekly, monthly and annually);
• Compilation of annual budget assisted by NIBC Manager;
• Review of performance assisted by NIBC Manager;
• Preparation of management accounts;
• Payroll administration (payments to employees, payment of payroll taxes and deductions, payroll reconciliation and compilation of yearly PAYE-5 certificates);
• Compilation and submission of PAYE (monthly) and VAT returns (bi-monthly); and
• Reconciliation of VAT account(s).

Minimum Requirement:

• Must be a Namibian Citizen;
• A bachelor degree in accounting;
• Minimum work experience of 3 years
• Experience in Pastel & Excel a must.
• English, good communication skills, interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and conflict resolution skills,
• Must be able to meet deadlines, perform under pressure and manage multiple tasks
• Calculate and submit VAT and Import VAT returns on behalf of clients;
• Perform general accounting functions;
