Position:
Main responsibilities
General description of duties:
- Complete daily, weekly, monthly and annual reporting to executive management
- Reconcile, follow up and control general ledger reconciliations
- Manage, complete and control general ledger clearing accounts
- Assist with completion of annual budget process
- Ensure and manage adherence to company standard practice instructions
- Draft and report on an ongoing basis, on budget and target variance analysis
- Complete and upload/submit monthly plans, forecasts and reporting analysis
- Assist with monthly payroll input calculations of commission and incentives
- Assist to coordinate statutory annual, VAT and floor-plan audits
- Be member and share duties of the internal audit function at all sites
- Oversee to complete, analyse and maintain floor plan reconciliations
- Coordinate to prepare and process payments on major supplier accounts
- Supervise to draft and complete weekly working capital / current capital reports
- Ensure in-time monthly performance reporting to the franchisor institution
- Compile, draft and follow up of trade incentives and rebates
- Facilitate and control authorisation of fixed asset expenditure
- Maintain safekeeping and ensure complete company original documents in place
- All other accounting procedures up to monthly balance sheet stage and reports
Minimum requirements:
· Namibian Citizen
· Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification
· Post matrix finance and admin qualification will be an advantage
· Minimum five years working experience in accounting and finance environment
· Mental alertness required for the balancing of accounts and the general numerical nature of the job
· Computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Automate Evolve & Excel experience will be added advantage)
· Excellent people, planning & organizing skills
· Perform tasks with accuracy and reliability without supervision, attention to detail
· High standard and work ethics a definite advantage
· Compliance certificate of Code of Conduct at Nampol is a requirement
· Valid driver’s license
