Key Responsibilities
- Perform general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit VAT, Import VAT and tax returns.
- Support month-end, year-end and audit processes.
- Manage floorplan reconciliations and settlements.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and financial records.
- Monitor vehicle debtor accounts and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Process and reconcile financial transactions accurately.
- Prepare management reports and provide financial support.
- Ensure compliance with tax legislation, accounting standards and internal controls.
- Perform general finance administration and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate and Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 7+ years’ bookkeeping experience up to trial balance.
- PAAB Articles would be an added advantage.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office and accounting systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Language proficiency.
- Motor franchise experience will be advantageous.
- Ensure productivity, efficiency and first-time-right service.
- Create customer confidence through professional performance, courtesy and efficiency.
- Maintain good communication with customers and all department staff.
