The role supports operational decision-making through detailed cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain standard costing models for mining activities, including drilling, blasting, hauling, and processing.
Prepare monthly cost reports with detailed variance analysis, including budget versus actual and forecast comparisons.
Support the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and life-of-mine cost models.
Maintain cost structures and cost centres within ERP systems, and ensure the correct allocation of direct costs (labour, materials) and indirect costs (overheads).
Ensure adherence to company policies and financial controls, support internal and external audits, and maintain accurate audit trails for cost allocations and inventory.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Cost Accounting, Accounting, or Finance.
Professional qualification preferred (CIMA, ACCA, CA(NAM), or equivalent).
Three (3-7+) years’ experience in cost accounting, preferably in mining or manufacturing.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably Pronto Xi.
Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, dashboards, and cost modelling.
Sound understanding of costing methodologies.
Experience in financial reporting and variance analysis.
