Accountant Clerk: Debtors

Based in Ongwediva.

Overall purpose of the position:

Maintain the financial records of a company by accurately recording the day-to-day financial transactions of the company and assisting the Accountant as and when required

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable Collection
• Cash flow forecasting Debtors
• Daily Cash up & Reconciliation

I • Prepare bank deposits

| • Handle all debtor’s queries

• Receive all cash/card payments
• Process all cash/bank deposits
• Reconciliation of the cashbooks
• Maintain information of customers on database
• Weekly and Monthly reporting on debtor s balances
• Fixed Asset Register
• Assist in balancing of control accounts
• Maintain financial records according to company policies
• Assist Accountant with general bookkeeping functions

Requirements:

• Grade 12. with Accounting as a subject with at least 5 years of proven accounting/ bookkeeping experience or
• Degree in Accounting/Finance, with 2 years working experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
• Pay strict attention to detail
• Experience in Pastel
• Must have intermediate/advanced skills in Excel
