Specification
Key Responsibilities:

•Ensure compliance with IFRS, accounting policies, regulatory requirements
•Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information and regulatory reporting.
•Provide accurate and timely management information to facilitate decision-making.
•Review GL reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of the bank’s general ledger, specifically in a Treasury environment.
•Ensure proper interfacing of financial flows between systems.
•Budget preparation/forecast and analysis.
•Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place.
•Recommend and implement innovative solutions and improvements.
•Comply with audit requirements and assist in maintaining effective relationships with internal & external auditors.
•Build and maintain effective internal and external stakeholder relationships by proactively communicating, being flexible and open to feedback.
•Ensure that deadlines are strictly met.

Requirements

Educational & Experience Requirements:

•B.Com Accounting degree or CIMA. Honours degree in Finance will be an advantage.
•Banking background (educated in/or experience) will be an advantage
•Accounting experience within a Treasury environment will be an advantage
•Completed articles will be an advantage
