Key Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in production, cold storage, and warehouse areas.
- Load and unload fish products, packaging materials, and equipment.
- Transport goods between processing, storage, and dispatch areas.
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements.
- Ensure stock is stored correctly and safely.
- Assist with stock counts and inventory control when required.
- Adhere to company health, safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Grade 10 or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Forklift Operator Certificate/License.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience operating a forklift, preferably in a fishing, seafood processing, manufacturing, or warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse and cold storage operations will be an advantage.
- Good understanding of workplace safety procedures.
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
