The Office of the President, National Planning Commission is a constitutional entity within the Government of Namibia, headquartered in Windhoek. It functions under the direct authority of the President and is mandated to formulate, coordinate, and monitor Namibia’s long-term national development plans—including the Vision 2030 and the current National Development Plan 5 (NDP5). The Commission advises the President and Cabinet on socio-economic policy, resource allocation, and inter-ministerial planning alignment to advance sustainable development across all regions of Namibia. Its work is grounded in Namibian legislation, including the National Planning Commission Act (Act No. 11 of 1991), and it regularly engages with Namibian stakeholders—from regional councils to civil society—to ensure inclusive planning.
