The Benguela Current Convention (BCC) is a crucial multi-sectoral intergovernmental organisation, co-established by the Republic of Namibia alongside Angola and South Africa. This body is dedicated to the long-term conservation and sustainable utilisation of the marine resources within the shared Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem. For Namibia, the BCC’s work is vital for managing its rich Atlantic coastline, ensuring ecological integrity and socio-economic benefits from its fisheries and maritime sectors.
