ENGINEER: RELIABILITY (X1) PERMANENT

Most employers require a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering accredited by the Engineering Council of Namibia. Professional registration with ECN as a Candidate or Professional Engineer is highly preferred. Additional certifications like CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or RCA (Root Cause Analysis) training strengthen your application.

You will analyze equipment failure data, develop maintenance strategies, and conduct risk assessments for critical machinery. Site visits to mines, power plants, or manufacturing facilities are common, often requiring travel to remote locations like the Erongo or Otjozondjupa regions. Reporting to maintenance managers and collaborating with technicians to minimize downtime is central to the role.
