Key Responsibilities

Think analytically and have a mechanical and practical aptitude
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently
Maintain professional image when representing BWE
Ensure safe work practice by following procedures and risk assessments and contamination control
Assist with diagnose machine systems and carry out repairs, services and maintenance on earthmoving equipment on customer sites or at BWE site
Compile accurate customer machine analysis and reports including machine inspection reports (MIR’s) and Technical Analysis Reports (TA’s)
Assist Technicians in installing, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment
Diagnose mechanical issues and collaborate on effective solutions
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication and adjustments, to ensure optimal equipment functionality
Utilize a variety of hand and power tools to carry out assigned tasks
Electrical background
Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized workshop and work area
Sound knowledge of tools and equipment required for certain tasks and support General Mechanics and Service Specialist accordingly

Requirements

Grade 12, passed
Minimum 3 years relevant mechanical/mining industry experience
Sound interpersonal and communication skills
Basic troubleshooting and problem solving
Computer literacy knowledge
Applicable product knowledge in PM, components and machine systems
Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays
Must be in possession of a Code of Conduct not older than 6 Months
Must be in possession of a Valid Driver’s License – manual transmission
