Project Background
The PRAGMA-E project aims to identify priority hubs for green ammonia production in Namibia, Morocco, and Senegal by assessing renewable energy resources and production pathways. It also evaluates domestic fertilizer demand, agricultural opportunities, and food security impacts to develop demand forecasts and business models. Finally, the project examines Europe’s import potential and Africa-Europe trade opportunities to formulate trade models, policy recommendations, and disseminate project findings.
POST: PROJECT ASSISTANT
SASSCAL invites applications for the position of Project Assistant. The successful candidate will support SASSCAL’s renewable energy and green hydrogen initiatives, working with local, regional, and international partners under the supervision of the Renewable Energy and Green Hydrogen Projects Expert.

Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder engagements
- Assist in execution, reporting and updating project plans and deliverables.
- Organize project supplies as needed and assist project team members in any duties which enable project delivery e.g., procurement, organizing events, registers, taking delivery of items.
- Schedule execution of project activities.
- Track project resources and expenses.
- Project Administration
- Prepare requested documents for team members.
- Assist in conducting research with project team members.
- Compile project reports.
- Any other tasks related to the project as determined by your supervisor
Requirements
- A minimum requirement for a diploma in Renewable Energy or Environment or Sustainable Development or related field, a bachelor’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Project Management qualifications will be an added advantage.
- GIS/General IT and Microsoft Office skills, research or project execution work experience will be an added advantage.
- Excellent knowledge of English (both oral and written). Knowledge of other official languages in the region will be an advantage.
