Key Responsibilities

• Receiving of loads delivered at the depot.
• Checking that freight is properly packaged and immediately notifying management in case of damages/insufficient packaging.
• Checking freight documentation to ensure that it is complete and correct and report any deviations to management.
• Assist with loading and offloading of trucks.
• General warehouse housekeeping.
• Any other duties in line with the responsibilities of a Receiving Clerk.

Requirements

• A valid grade 12 (with at least 23 points).
• 2-3 years’ applied experience as a Receiving Clerk in the transport/logistics sector.
• Excellent communication skills – ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Knowledge of handling/loading of steel products and transport documents.
• Presentable with a friendly disposition.
• Attention to detail together with the ability to work under immense pressure.
• Initiative, problem identification and solving ability.
• Willingness to work overtime.
• A high regard for honesty and integrity.
• Exceptional customer service mindset.
• No criminal record.
• South African Citizenship.
