Key Responsibilities
- Identifies product opportunities and innovations that enhance and support Waltons corporate identity.
- Design appealing retail layouts, displays and marketing that highlight Waltons brand look & feel.
- Recommend sales initiatives, campaigns, and company concepts which will lead to further retail growth.
- Ensures product selection is aligned with market trends.
- Reporting is a crucial function and in-depth analysis of customer trends, habits, preferences and buying patterns is paramount.
- Seeks ways to better promote stores, the product lines, and services within the Stores.
- Maintain proper inventory levels, implement stocking and replenishing plans to ensure maximum efficiency in meeting sales goals.
- Ensure stores always remains attractive, inviting, and profitable in terms of square meters VS. rent VS. trading profit.
- Instrumental in planning and setting up new stores, relocating, and revamping of current stores.
- Execute action plans that are in line with Company strategies, promotions, specials, and dead stock management.
- Optimize labour deployment to ensure stores are properly staffed and scheduled to deliver legendary customer experiences.
Requirements
- Degree in Sales & Marketing or Project Management will be an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years retail sales and merchandising experience within a FMCG of which 5 years should be in a leading role.
- Experience in new store openings and various merchandising equipment and fittings.
- Excellent analytical as well as written and oral communication skills in English and Afrikaans are essential.
- Computer knowledge and skills are essential.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Valid drivers license.
- Must have Namibian Citizenship
