BLOCKMAN (SUPERSPAR THE GROVE)

Position Overview

Cut all meat to prescribed and required cuts ensuring minimum wastage and maximum quality according to block test. Minimise loss risk and ensuring optimum functioning within area of responsibility. Identify and minimise risks and ensure optimum capacity and functioning. Adhere to general health and safety, cleaning, and dress code regulations.

Main Areas of Responsibility

• Check product sell by dates

• Customer service

• Trimming, cutting general meat cuts and deboning

• Prepare meat products-cold and hot meat curing and smoking techniques

• General Duties

• Equipment Maintenance

• Health, Hygiene & Safety

Requirements:

Education & Experience

• Grade 12 (NQF 4)

• Computer Literate

• 3 Years’ experience as blockman

Literacy

• Good English comprehension (speak, write, read)

• Basic numeracy and skills and calculations.
