VACANCY: EXECUTIVE MANAGER:
ENGINEERING SERVICES
(5 YEARS CONTRACT)
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING SERVICES
GRADE: E2
DUTY STATION: HEAD OFFICE (ONDANGWA)
CLOSING DATE: 20 MARCH 2024

Main purpose of the position:

The incumbent will be responsible for leading and managing the engineering services Department. Main job responsibilities includes strategic planning, ensuring equitable distribution of resources, optimal special studies, system loading and protection planning to ensure that NORED system is stable and optimized. The provisioning of technical analysis, financial, economic development and up keeping of NORED Network.

⦁ Quality of Supply (QOS)
⦁ Master Plan studies and tasks
⦁ Staff supervision and administration
⦁ Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

⦁ B. Sc/B. Electrical Engineering
⦁ Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Business Management and Leadership will serve as an added advantage

Minimum Experience Required:

⦁ At least ten (10) years’ experience in system planning, system analysis, quality of supply and electricity tariffs. Experience in both technical and financial fields related to the planning, QOS and electricity supply tariff aspects of the Electricity Supply Industry (ESI).
⦁ A good knowledge of economic and financial justification methodologies used for the evaluation and justification of new network expansion projects or refurbishment projects.
⦁ A good knowledge of protection systems and protection relay application studies
⦁ Ten (10) years’ experience of which five (5) years should have at Managerial role or Senior Managerial role.
