VACANCY
Agri Advisory Services Division provides business advisory services through mentorship &
training to transfer knowledge and skills to farmers with the aim of improving farming
practices, productivity and repayment ability.
Interested candidates with relevant qualifications and experience are hereby invited to apply for the following mentorship consultancy services in different regions.
DEPARTMENT: MARKETING & CUSTOMER STRATEGY
Division: Agri Advisory Services (AASD)
Regional Mentor position:
1 x Zambezi Region
1 x Kavango – East Region
Purpose of Provision of Mentorship Services
• The mentor will be responsible for the provision of business advisory services through mentorship,
coaching, and training of bank clients and farmers in general.
• The mentor will provide on-farm guidance and mentoring/coaching through hands-on technical and practical advice incorporating the use of appropriate latest technologies.
• The mentor will conduct training courses, day/evening lectures and practical sessions.
• The mentor must possess good interpersonal skills to be able to build respectful and trusting relationships needed to motivate and encourage clients and trainees to implement the acquired knowledge and skills.
• The mentor will serve as an interface between the bank, its clients, farmers, and service providers in the gricultural sector.
Minimum Requirements
• A National Diploma in Agriculture or equivalent.
• An established and experienced livestock farmer (preferably full-time). Additional experience in crop and poultry production will be an advantage.
• At least 10 years of practical experience in agriculture.
• Applicant must not be older than 65 years of age.
• Good communication skills and proficiency in the local language(s) applicable to the region of application.
• Good report writing skills, computer literate, and experience in organizing, presenting, and facilitating training events/meetings.
• Must be a team player and have experience working with farmers, and industry stakeholders.
• Own transport registered in his/her name or spouse’s name, preferably a 4×4 vehicle.
• Farm/ permanent residence should be in the same constituency region/ area applied for.
• Must be able and willing to camp and work on weekends.
• Willing to participate in Training of Trainer (ToT) courses.
