Job Summary:
The Social Services Mentor will provide technical leadership and capacity building related to the socioeconomic service components of PHN Reach Namibia Activity in the region. This role will focus on ensuring the delivery of high-quality HIV sensitive case management to vulnerable children, adolescents, and youth (VCAY).
Major Responsibilities:
· Identify training needs and develop capacity-building plans for GRN and PHN Reach Namibia socioeconomic service providers.
· Train, mentor and provide technical leadership to GRN and PHN Reach Namibia socioeconomic service providers on:
.Case management
.Prevention of Violence Against Children and Youth including GBV.
. Post violence care including LIVES.
.Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS).
.Positive parenting.
.Economic Strengthening Interventions.
.Social factors affecting school retention, performance, and progression.
· Support for an integrated plan, implementation, & monitoring of socioeconomic services in the region.
· Collaborate with PHN Reach Namibia regional team and key stakeholders in the region to strengthen existing coordination and collaboration mechanisms and referral linkage system for socioeconomic services.
· Collaborate with the Regional MEL Coordinator to implement CQI process for socioeconomic services.
· Collaborate with the regional and national Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) team to
.Monitor and evaluate the impact of socioeconomic services and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
.Support the implementation of a robust monitoring and evaluation system for socioeconomic services.
.Develop project reports and documentation.
· Any other responsibility assigned by the Regional Program Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in social work, social sciences, or a related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in child protection including case management
· Registration with the Social Work Professions Council
· Strong understanding of positive parenting, economic strengthening interventions, MHPSS services and prevention of Violence Against Children and Youth.
· Experience in training, mentorship, and quality improvement.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work in collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
· Valid driver’s license
