Windhoek has the following Internal vacancy: Parts Sales Executive
The Parts Salesperson is responsible for advising colleagues and customers on parts, accessories and collection articles. He/she needs to proactively identify opportunities to contribute to the required profit and unit targets of the parts department.
The Parts Salesperson needs to identify, meet and exceed customer expectations by providing a high level of service.
The Parts Salesperson will be the contact person for the selection and ordering of parts in an effort to meet customer requirements. He/she will also provide input into the compilation of individual parts packages and accessory articles offered as part of service and/or parts campaigns. He/she will need to work closely with individuals in the parts procurement area to ensure the availability of parts.
Furthermore, where required, the Parts Salesperson will support planning and executing relevant marketing
activities.
Main responsibilities will include:
• Check the availability of parts by considering workshop orders and client requests.
• Ensure that the correct parts are ordered in a timely manner.
• Provide relevant and accurate advice to clients with regards to parts availability, price and terms of payment.
• Accept and process online orders in a timely and accurate manner.
• Inform customers of the status of their orders.
• Monitor the collection of parts on the basis of specialist customer lists.
• Book parts which have been issued.
• Perform relevant changes to orders and order cancellations.
• Ensure that changes and cancellations are communicated to relevant individuals within the Dealership.
• Acceptance of commissioned parts and hand-over of the parts to internal and/ or external customers
• Explain the function and quality to the relevant individual
• Create invoices for cash sales
• Packaging and hand-over of the desired/ordered parts scopes to the relevant individual, where required.
• Document theft-relevant parts as per the theft-relevant parts guidelines.
• Off set down-payments against the final invoice amount on submission of the cash slip, where required.
• Provide accurate and correct information to clients with regards to parts, their prices and expected availability in a timely manner.
• Ensure the correct identification of client needs.
• Provide regular and relevant information and updates to customers on current offers / services.
• Communicate parts campaigns and services to customers in person, by e-mail or
telephonically.
• Ensure that customer orders / quotations are processed speedily and accurately.
• Ensure that the correct parts orders are delivered to / collected by customers in a
timely manner.
• Handle requests and queries in a timely and accurate manner.
• Record customer
• Forward documents, such as order slip, parts requisition slip and/or cancellation slip
to relevant individuals to update the transaction data, where required.
• Report customer tray
• Ensure that all transactions are processed according to company policy.
• Ensure that credit sales are authorized, where required.
• Ensure that all paperwork, documentation and requisitions are completed accurately
and timeously.
• Comply with all policies and processes outlined by the dealership.
Minimum requirements:
• Namibia citizen with grade 12 certificate.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in this position.
• Willing and able to travel for training at Daimler Truck South Africa.
• Willing to work overtime
• Must be computer literate
• Must have a Knowledge of franchise requirements and standards.
• Valid Passport to travel to South Africa
• Following warranty procedures
• High standard of workmanship is a definite requirement
• Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for

• Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team
environment
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Managing CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index)
• Must be able to work without supervision
