Job Description

Installation, maintenance and commissioning of all the Protection Systems in the 11 kV substation for the distribution network, maintenance on protection devices and equipment, data logging work and testing

Key Performance Areas

Test and commissioning of protestation switchgear.
Installation of protection switchgear.
Installation and commissioning of differential protection schemes
Maintain and repair protection equipment.
Administrative duties.
Skills, Experience & Education

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

An Electrical Trade Diploma or Completed Apprenticeship in the Electrical Field a National Vocational Diploma (Electrical General IV) or a National Vocational Certificate (Electrical General III-Red Seal).

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT :

A minimum period of three (3) years relevant experience in electrical field of which one (1) year should be in electrical protection and control of equipment.

PRE-APPOINTMENT TRAINING AS AN ADDED ADVANTAGE:

HV Networks, Municipal setup, power distribution, Specialized Protection and control of equipment.
