DESCRIPTION
Transworld Cargo (Pty) Ltd has more than 36 years local and international experience in freight forwarding and value-added logistic services. We combine the reliability and flexibility of a well- established Namibian forwarding company with the benefits of an extensive global network. Being a leading freight forwarder, Transworld Cargo requires the services of an International Trade Relations Coordinator for Transworld stationed in Windhoek. The candidate will be responsible to coordinate international trade projects for the Transworld Group, particularly the export of table grapes and biomass to Germany, but other countries in Europe and worldwide as well.
Key Performance Areas
⦁ International Relations: Communicating with clients in Europe, specifically Germany but also United Kingdom, Austria, and Spain, as well as China;
⦁ Trade: Sourcing of new trade markets across Europe and China (including biomass, table grapes, and consumables);
⦁ Business Development: Establishment of biomass, agricultural, and consumer offtakers for Namibian products, with focus on export markets,
⦁ Organisation & Administration: drafting and review of supply contracts, familiarity with Namibian & international trade and commerce policies, preparing & organising meetings,
Required Experience and Education
⦁ At least 5 years’ experience in international relations, trade, economics or other
international business development-related fields,
⦁ Experience in Namibian Labour Law;
⦁ Experience working with Namibian
Agricultural Unions;
⦁ Experience in the export of fresh produce out of Namibia;
⦁ Experience in budgeting and cash-flow planning;
⦁ Understanding of freight forwarding principles for Namibian exports,
⦁ Bachelor in Economics, International Trade, International Relations or similar,
⦁ Master in Economics, International Trade, International Relations or similar will be a distinct advantage.
Behavioral Skills
⦁ Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing in English and German, fluency in other European languages will be a distinct advantage;
⦁ Ability to communicate with a broad variety of stakeholders both locally and internationally;
⦁ Willingness to spend extended periods of time in Aussenkehr, especially from October to January annually.
