Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term strategic plans aligned with national priorities
- Drive regional trade growth and corridor competitiveness
- Advise the Board on risks, opportunities, and sector developments
- Monitor and report on strategic performance
- Ensure compliance with relevant and applicable legislation
- Uphold governance, ethics, and internal control frameworks
- Implement Board decisions and ensure timely statutory reporting
- Lead revenue growth and financial turnaround strategies
- Develop new revenue streams across logistics, freight, and partnerships
- Facilitate funding for infrastructure and capital projects
- Oversee safe, efficient, and reliable corridor operations
- Improve infrastructure performance and asset management
- Implement service standards and operational KPIs
- Act as primary liaison with Government, regulators, and industry
- Represent WBCG at national and regional platforms
- Strengthen partnerships with investors and logistics operators
- Enhance corporate reputation and public trust
- Lead and inspire a high-performance team

Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Transport Economics, Logistics & Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
- 10-15 years’ experience, of which 5 must be in senior executive leadership
- Proven background in transport, logistics, infrastructure, or heavy industry
- Expertise in trade facilitation and corridor economic development
- Strong track record in strategy execution and operational improvement
- Visionary strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen
- Ethical, values-driven, decisive, and accountable leadership
