SENIOR BUSINESS CONTINUITY OFFICER (WINDHOEK) – Namibia Revenue Agency 260 views

Job Purpose: Responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of NamRA’s business continuity program.

Key Performances:

–     Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive business continuity plans, policies, and procedures.

–     Ensuring business continuity management practices align with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

–  Conduct business impact analyses (BIA) to identify critical business functions, dependencies, recovery time objectives (RTO), recover point objectives (RPO), and maximum allowable outage time (MAOT).

–     Collaborate with business units to identify and assess risks, vulnerabilities, and potential business disruptions.

–     Provide guidance and support to employees regarding BCM-related inquiries and concerns.

–   Assisting the Risk Manager in managing the budget for the BCM function, including financial planning, resource allocation, and expense control.

Qualifications: A relevant, recognized bachelor’s degree in a Business Management / Risk Management / Emergency Management or a related discipline. (NQF 7).

Minimum Experience:  Five (5) years of which two (2) years should be on supervisory level.

Advantage Added:         A BCM certification ISO22301:2019 will be an added advantage.

Skills requirements:

–        Strong analytical skills to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies.

–        Ability to think critically and strategically to develop effective business continuity solutions.

–        Experience in conducting business impact analyses (BIA) and risk assessments.

–        Project management skills to effectively plan, execute, and monitor business continuity initiatives.

–        Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

–        Understanding of crisis management principles and experience in coordinating response efforts during incidents or emergencies.
