Vacancy – Accountant: GL Accounts & Treasury

Division : Finance & Treasury – NSB

Primary purpose of position:

To supervise the processing and reconciliation of all financial transactions performed by the NamPost Savings Bank (NSB).

Main Responsibilities

▪ Treasury accounting and Income verification

▪ Month-end reconciliations

▪ Reporting

▪ Validation of transactions & payments

▪ Authorisation of Merchant/ NSB agreements

▪ General Ledger (NSB): Review of status/SAP processing (Smartcard)

▪ Authorisation of posting movements to SAP R/3

▪ Calculation of portfolio Cost of Funds

▪ External parties’ liaison

▪ Staff supervision

Educational and experience requirements

A B Degree in Accounting plus 3 years relevant experience or National Diploma NQF level 6 in Accounting plus 5 year relevant experience.

Proficient in written and spoken English.

Articles will be an added advantage

• Sound knowledge of Excel and Computer Accounting Package (preferably SAP)
